Butterfly Valve refers to a kind of valve rotating shaft to realize open and close, whose closure member（disc or butterfly vale）is circular plate, mainly to cut and throttle in the pipe. Butterfly valve headstock is a round butterfly valve rotating around the valve body to open, close or adjust. From full open to full shut, the butterfly valve normally is less than 90°.The butterfly valve and stem do not have self-lock ability. In order to locate the butterfly plate, we need to add worm speed reducer in the stem. The worm speed reducer could not only make the butterfly plate enable self-lock, but also could make it stop in any position. What is more, it can improve the operating performance of valve.
The advantage of butterfly valves specialized for industry is that it can endure high temperature and its applicable pressure range is also bigger. The nominal size of the valve is bigger. The valve body is made of carbon steel while the sealing ring of valve plate is made of metal instead of rubber. Large scale high-temperature butterfly valve is made of plates welded together and mainly used in high-temperature medium smoke system and gas pipe.
